Privacy Policy

Who is accountable for your information

This website is run by Digital Ledger Academy, Calgary, which is accountable for the personal information described here and applies the ten fair information principles set out in PIPEDA. The site only provides education about crypto-assets. It is not a registered dealer, adviser, platform or money services business, and it collects none of the details such a business would need. Privacy questions: contact the person responsible for privacy at Digital Ledger Academy via the email address in the footer, team76@digitalledgeracademy.shop.

Email messages and CASL

Your email address is used to answer your inquiry and for nothing else. Under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), commercial email needs consent, so we send none without your permission. Should we ever offer it, we would ask first, identify the sender and put a working unsubscribe mechanism in each message. You may also stop messages from us whenever you wish by writing to team76@digitalledgeracademy.shop. Spam can be reported to the Spam Reporting Centre of the Government of Canada.

Questions and complaints

Privacy questions: contact the person responsible for privacy at Digital Ledger Academy via the email address in the footer. You can challenge how we handle your personal information by writing to that person at team76@digitalledgeracademy.shop, and we will look into it and reply. If the matter is not resolved, you can file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at https://www.priv.gc.ca/en/report-a-concern/. The Office asks people to try to resolve the concern with the organization first.

Who receives your information

Your inquiry reaches our email provider and the hosting provider that runs the site, which handle it for us under our direction. These providers, or the servers they use, may be located outside Canada, in which case the laws of that country can apply to the information while it is there. Where advertising or measurement tags are used, the tag providers, for example Google, receive technical and usage data. We do not sell the text of your inquiry and we do not pass it to advertisers.

Keeping information correct and protected

A correct email address is needed for us to reply, so please check it before you send the form. If something is wrong, write to team76@digitalledgeracademy.shop and we will correct our records. Personal information is protected by safeguards that match how sensitive it is, including limited access, secure connections and careful choice of providers. No online system is entirely free of risk. Where a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and report it as the law requires.

Identifying purposes

From the inquiry form we receive your name, your email address and the message you write, and we use them only to read and answer you. Please keep recovery phrases, passwords, wallet addresses and account numbers out of it. A visit also produces technical data: your IP address, device and browser type, the pages viewed and the referring page. This data helps us keep the site running and secure and see how it is used.

Access and correction of your information

Anyone can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about them, ask for it to be corrected, and withdraw consent. Write to team76@digitalledgeracademy.shop, say what you are asking for and give the name and email address you used in your inquiry. We may ask for a little more information to confirm that the request is yours. We respond within 30 days of receiving it. If we need more time or must refuse, we tell you why and explain how you can complain.

Consent and withdrawing it

Your consent covers the use of your name, email address and message to answer your inquiry, and you give it by sending the form. We will not use or share this information for a different purpose without your agreement, unless the law requires it. You may withdraw consent whenever you like, within legal or contractual limits and with reasonable notice, by writing to team76@digitalledgeracademy.shop. If you do, we may be unable to continue a conversation. Optional analytics are used only if you accept them.

Limiting collection and retention

We collect only what we need for the purposes stated above. We keep an inquiry and our reply no longer than needed to answer you and to resolve any follow-up, and technical data no longer than needed to run and protect the site. We may keep a record longer where the law requires it or where it is needed to resolve a dispute. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous. Your cookie choice stays in your browser until you change it or clear site data.
